The Selo XIS is a tool for evaluating and proposing ESG practices and its premise is the implementation of initiatives that generate income for the surrounding communities.
SeloXis, a tool for evaluating the sustainable practices of tourism enterprises, entered 2024 with a new version. The certification is now more robust, bringing together a greater number of socio-environmental impact indicators. Although it was launched in 2021, throughout last year the tool underwent a restructuring. This process included the development of a new, more robust methodology based on the main frameworks in the market, such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), as well as indicators from the Ethos Institute.

HOW IT WORKS
The SeloXis certification process now has two new phases. In addition to the evaluation of ESG indicators and the mapping of emissions, phase 3, compensation, and phase 4, which provides for the traceability of the impact on the chain using blockchain technology, have been added. The Selo XIS has also started to offer consultancy and implementation of ESG agenda initiatives and communication of socio-environmental actions.
